Privacy

In short, Numberfudge does not track you. Here is what actually happens when you visit the site.

What we don't do

  • No cookies.
  • No analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and no tracking across websites.
  • No adverts, forms or logins.
  • Nothing is loaded from other websites. Fonts, charts and code are all served from numberfudge.no.

What is stored in your browser

If you choose a theme (light, dark or pip) or switch on the bubbles, your browser remembers the choice for next time. It is kept in the browser's local storage under the names nf-tema and nf-effekter. It is never sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser. We count visits with GoatCounter. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data, only anonymous statistics such as which pages are read, country, screen size and browser type.

Server logs at Netlify

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the USA. Like any website, its servers receive your IP address, which browser you use and which page you asked for. Netlify uses this to deliver the site and stop abuse, such as attacks and spam.

  • Why: to run the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Transfer to the USA: Netlify is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
  • More information: see Netlify's privacy policy.

Links to, for example, LinkedIn, Bluesky or the sources in the articles take you to other websites. Their own privacy rules apply there.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete information about you. Because we have no access to information that can be linked to you, there is usually nothing to show. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, if you think your data is being handled wrongly.
